MK City PS is the only Camera Club in Milton Keynes and have been going for over 30 Years. The previously named “New City PS” was founded by a small group of enthusiasts at Stantonbury Campus in 1982. Since those humble beginnings the club has developed into a vibrant, broad-based photographic society. The club is run by a dedicated committee

Our members have a predominantly digital approach to photography with a passion grounded in the traditional feel of film.

MK City PS is the place broaden your photographic horizons with a group of like minded people and most of all have fun!

The Season

The club's indoor season runs from the first week in September through to the last week in May. We meet every Thursday at Christ Church Hall at Stantonbury Campus from 19:30 for that thoroughly British tradition of tea, with the meeting starting at 19:45. No meeting would be complete without a half-time tea break with things wrapping up around 22:00.

Our programme is packed full with lectures and presentations from popular photographic speakers through to competition nights, practical evenings, exhibitions and a full programme of outdoor meetings in the summer during June and July.

The summer programme will see us visiting various photographic places of interest around the local area, as well as preparation for our summer exhibition in Newport Pagnell and a social summer awards evening. We take a well deserved break in August, ready to start it all over again in September.

Learning

MK City PS is founded upon the principle of enthusiasts and experts sharing their collective experiences for the betterment of each other's craft. There are club members with experience in many genres of photography and with vast expertise in the technical and creative aspects of photography who are willing to share.

Whatever your skill level, whatever your camera,  there will be someone willing to guide you, share experiences, explain techniques and explore ideas.

Members are encouraged to get involved. The programme is designed to give members opportunities to contribute, with members' evenings and practical sessions which in particular allow members to learn, do and share.

Whether you are just starting your photographic journey or whether you've been honing your skills for many years, MK City PS is a place to learn, grow and broaden your photographic horizons.
