The Punks are visiting NCPS this week!...

Steampunks that is!

Yes, you heard right. This week at club (Thursday 3rd October) we’re being visited by two models dressed as Steampunks. According to Wikipedia, “Steampunk is a subgenre of science fiction or science fantasy that incorporates technology and aesthetic designs inspired by 19th-century industrial steam-powered machinery”

We intend to have two lighting setups configured and will emulate some of what Glyn Dewis showed us last week to get some cracking portraits.

Hilary and Laurie are doing this for the love of it, so I would appreciate some images to be able to send them for their troubles. If you’re not happy with that, please leave your camera at home.

Unfortunately for non-members, this is a members only evening

Included below are some images of Hilary and Laurie in their amazing costumes!

Sorry this event has been postponed to April 2016 due to insufficient bookings! Watch the website news and announcements for an announcement.

Here's an opportunity for you to get some great landscape, architectural and portrait images at Stowe National Trust gardens.

This will be an ideal opportunity to shoot competition entry images for the set subject competitions architecture, lines and curves and water!

You will learn how to get the best from the scene and the lighting from experienced club photographers. The club will be providing models for this event.

When?- Now postponed

Where?- We will meet at 1245 at The New Inn at Stowe gardens, that is between the car park and the visitor centre entrance.

How long is the workshop? 1300-1730

What will it cost? A £10 booking fee payable to the club to secure your place plus you need to pay for entrance to the gardens (£11 gift aided /£10 standard, plus car parking), or entrance and parking is free if you are a  National Trust member.

This coming Thursday (30th July)

This week is the last week of our summer programme for the 2014/2015 season until September when we resume our normal schedule.

We are meeting at 19:00 at the Tree Cathedral at Newlands (near Willen) for a portrait evening.

I've been told (I've not had a chance to recce) that the car park may be closed from 18:00 - so I suggest if you can't park there, to park at Willen Lake and make the short walk over.

We have model Nix (Purpleport profile: http://purpleport.com/portfolio/nixbrown/) and her partner joining us. Outfits will be "fashion and bohemian" in nature.

All are welcome to attend, members and non members alike! Come along and meet us if you're interested in photography!

Looking forward to seeing you.
